This 3-day Uganda gorilla trekking safari is a condensed yet deeply immersive adventure into the heart of Africa’s jungles. Designed for travelers with limited time, it focuses on the once-in-a-lifetime experience of encountering the endangered Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat within Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The journey includes scenic drives through the rolling hills of southwestern Uganda, offering a glimpse into the country’s stunning landscapes and rich culture.

Day 01 :

Arrival and Scenic Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Morning: Your adventure begins with an early pick-up from your hotel in Entebbe or from Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Meet your professional driver/guide and embark on a scenic drive southwest. The journey is an experience in itself, passing through lush green countryside, terraced hills, and vibrant local villages.
Lunch: Enjoy a stop en-route for lunch at a convenient restaurant with beautiful views (e.g., in Mbarara or the Igongo Cultural Centre).
Afternoon: Continue the drive, descending into the Kigezi Highlands, famously known as the "Switzerland of Africa." You will arrive at your lodge on the outskirts of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the late afternoon.
Evening: Check in, relax, and soak in the incredible atmosphere. You will receive a pre-trekking briefing from your guide about the next day's pivotal event. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge, with the sounds of the forest as your backdrop.

Day 02 :

The Ultimate Gorilla Trekking Experience

Morning: After an early breakfast and packing your lunch, you will transfer to the park headquarters for your pre-trekking briefing at 7:30 AM. Here, you are assigned to a gorilla family group, a guide, and trackers. The briefing covers trekking rules and gorilla etiquette.
Trekking: The trek itself is a thrilling adventure! You will hike through the dense, misty forest, following the trails of these majestic creatures. The duration can vary from 1 to 8 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. The terrain can be challenging but is immensely rewarding.
The Encounter: Once the gorilla family is located, you will spend one magical hour with them. Watch in awe as they feed, play, groom, and interact—an intimate and humbling experience that is often described as life-changing.
Afternoon: After the trek, return to your lodge to rest and share stories. You can choose to relax or take a guided village walk in the evening to experience the local Batwa pygmy culture and community life.

Day 03 :

Community Visit and Return to Entebbe

Morning: Enjoy a final breakfast amidst the forest sounds. Before embarking on your journey back, you may have time for an optional activity such as a guided nature walk in the forest periphery or a visit to a local community project to support sustainable tourism.
Mid-Morning: Begin the scenic journey back to Entebbe. You will stop for lunch en-route.
Afternoon/Evening: Continue the drive, arriving in Entebbe in the early evening. You will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight (recommended to book flights after 8:00 PM) or at your preferred hotel in Entebbe/Kampala.
