Overview
This 10-day Uganda Safari combines incredible wildlife encounters, breathtaking landscapes,
cultural experiences, and the ultimate highlight — Bwindi Gorilla Trekking. You will explore
Uganda’s top national parks: Murchison Falls national park, which is the oldest and largest park in
Uganda with one of the strongest falls in the world, Kibale Forest national park, Queen Elizabeth
national park, Bwindi Impenetrable, and Lake Bunyonyi, also known as “Place of Many Little Birds”
and is believed to be the second deepest lake in Africa. The activities at L. Bunyonyi include boat
cruise/Canoeing, bird watching, swimming, nature walk and Batwa community tour who are the
original inhabitants of the forest.
You will enjoy game drives, boat cruises, chimpanzee tracking, a gorilla encounter, with a scenic
relaxation.

Itinerary
Your driver-guide will warmly receive you on your arrival to Entebbe airport and will transfer
you to your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala for a rest as you prepare for your exciting tour
ahead.
Accommodation: Entebbe or Kampala
Morning: Depart early from Kampala or Entebbe with your guide. Drive northwards, enjoying
the changing landscapes from urban to rural.
- Mid-Morning: Arrive at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Embark on a guided walking safari to track
the endangered white rhinos. This is the only place in Uganda where you can see these
magnificent creatures in the wild. - Lunch: Enjoy lunch at the sanctuary or a nearby town.
- Afternoon: Continue your drive to Murchison Falls National Park, entering through the
southern Kichumbanyobo Gate. Enjoy an en-route game drive as you head to your lodge on
the northern bank of the Nile for a spectacular sunset. - Accommodation: Budget/Mid-range/Luxury lodge in Murchison
Morning: After an early breakfast, cross the Nile and embark on a morning game drive on
the northern Delta circuit. This is the best time for wildlife viewing. Search for lions,
leopards (elusive), elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and vast herds of antelope like hartebeest
and oribi.
- Lunch: Return to your lodge for lunch and a short rest.
- Afternoon: Take the highlight afternoon boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls. This 2-3
hour journey upstream is unforgettable, offering close-up views of hippos, massive Nile
crocodiles, elephants, waterbuck, and countless birds lining the banks. - Evening: The boat gets you as close as possible to the base of the falls, where you can feel
the spray and thunder of the water. Return to the lodge for dinner and to relive the day's
sights and sounds. - Optional hike to the top of the falls

Morning: After breakfast, check out of your lodge and make your way to the top of
Murchison Falls. Here, you can stand just meters from the point where the world's longest
river explodes through a narrow gap and plunges 43 meters into the gorge below. It's a
powerful and mesmerizing sight.
- Mid-Morning: Begin your scenic journey southwest to Kibale Forest National Park, known as
the primate capital of the world - Lunch: Stop for lunch en-route at a convenient restaurant.
- Long scenic drive via Hoima and Fort Portal as you enjoy views of the Albertine Rift Valley
and tea plantations. - Accommodation: Budget/Mid-range/Luxury lodge at Kibale
- Join an experienced ranger for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest. Enjoy observing these
intelligent primates in their natural habitat. Enjoy a guided swamp walk at Bigodi community
as you get a cultural encounter with the locals. - After lunch, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its diverse ecosystems
and wildlife. - Accommodation: Budget/Mid-range/Luxury lodge at Queen Elizabeth National Park.
- Enjoy a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains for a chance to spot lions, elephants, and
antelope species. In the afternoon, take a relaxing boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel,
famous for one of the highest concentrations of hippos and birds in Africa. There is also a
high concentration of elephants, crocodiles and buffaloes. Later, engage in a local
community cultural tour. - Accommodation: Budget/Mid-range/Luxury lodge at Queen Elizabeth National Park.
- Morning: Drive through the scenic landscapes of southwestern Uganda to Bwindi
Impenetrable Forest. Upon arrival, participate in the Batwa cultural experience to learn
about the traditional forest life of the Batwa pygmies. - The Batwa pygimies, also referred to as the “Keepers of the Forest.” are one of Africa’s
oldest indigenous tribes, believed to have lived in the dense forests of Bwindi and Mgahinga
for over 40,000 years. They are one of the last remaining forest-dwelling communities and
they rely on hunting, fruit gathering, and herbal medicine to survive in the rainforest. - Enjoy Batwa songs, dances, and cultural performances. Learn how Batwa made fire,
hunted, and gathered honey. Discover ancient medicinal plants used to cure illnesses. Tour
their grass-thatched mud homes and lifestyle Hear legends of the forest, gorillas, and their
ancestors. - Accommodation: Budget/Mid-range/Luxury lodge near Bwindi Forest.
- The day will start will an early breakfast, then will head to the park headquarters for a
briefing and allocation of gorilla families that will launch you into the unforgettable gorilla
trekking adventure through the foggy forest, guided by experienced rangers. Trekking can
take 2–6 hours depending on the gorilla family location. Spend an hour observing these
gentle giants in their natural habitat. After the trek, receive your gorilla trekking certificate. - Transfer to the awesome Lake Bunyonyi,also knows as “Place of Many Little Birds”, a lake
with 29 islands and the second deepest lake in Africa. - Accommodation: Budget/Mid-range/Luxury lodge at L. Bunyonyi
- Spend the day relaxing by the lake. The optional activities at L. Bunyonyi include boat
cruise/Canoeing, bird watching, swimming, nature walk and Batwa community tour who are

After breakfast, begin the journey back to Entebbe. Depending on your flight schedule, you may
make stops for craft shopping or photos at the equator. Arrive in time for your international
departure.
