Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the relationship between Camuka Uganda Safari, hereinafter referred to as “the Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” and the client, referred to as “you,” “traveler,” or “guest.” By booking a safari, tour, or any travel-related service with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these

1. Booking and Reservations
1.1 All bookings must be made through our official website, email, office, or authorized agents.
1.2 A booking is confirmed only after receiving a deposit of 30%–50% of the total safari cost (depending on the package), along with a written confirmation from the Company.
1.3 The balance payment is due 45–30 days before the safari start date. For bookings made less than 30 days prior to departure, full payment is required upon confirmation.
1.4 All payments must be made in USD or UGX, via bank transfer, mobile money, or other approved payment methods.
2. Pricing and Inclusions
2.1 Prices quoted include services as outlined in the itinerary: accommodation, meals, park entry fees, guide services, ground transportation, and applicable taxes.
2.2 Prices exclude: international flights, visas, medical insurance, personal expenses, optional activities, tips, alcoholic beverages, and any services not mentioned as included.
2.3 Prices are subject to change due to currency fluctuations, government tax changes, park fee amendments, or factors beyond our control.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation by the Client:
• More than 60 days before departure: Full refund minus administrative fee
• 30–59 days: 50% refund of total cost
• 15–29 days: 25% refund
• Less than 15 days or no-show: No refund
Cancellation by the Company:
We reserve the right to cancel or modify services due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, security concerns, or inadequate participants. In such cases, clients will be offered:
• A rescheduled departure date, or
• A comparable alternative package, or
• A refund of payments made (excluding third-party fees)
4. Gorilla & Chimpanzee Permits
4.1 Gorilla and Chimpanzee trekking permits must be fully paid in advance and are strictly non- refundable and non-transferable.
4.2 The Company is not responsible for loss of trekking opportunities due to client lateness, illness, weather conditions, or wildlife movement.
5. Travel Insurance
5.1 All travelers are strongly required to have comprehensive travel insurance, covering medical emergencies, evacuation, trip cancellation, and personal belongings.
5.2 The Company will not accept liability for any costs arising from lack of insurance.
6. Health, Safety & Risk Acknowledgment
6.1 Wildlife safaris involve inherent risks, including exposure to wild animals, rugged terrain, extreme weather, and long journeys.
6.2 You agree to follow all safety instructions by guides, rangers, and park officials.
6.3 The Company is not liable for injury, illness, death, delay, or damage arising from natural hazards, acts of wildlife, or situations beyond our control.
7. Liability and Disclaimer
7.1 The Company acts as an agent for hotels, airlines, park authorities, and independent service providers. We are not liable for errors, omissions, or negligence from third-party providers.
7.2 We are not responsible for loss, delay, injury, theft, damage, pandemic disruptions, political unrest, or any unforeseen circumstances.
7.3 Force Majeure: We are exempt from liability for events beyond our control such as natural disasters, war, strikes, epidemics, or government actions.
8. Client Responsibility
You are responsible for:
• Obtaining valid passports, visas, vaccinations, and travel documents
• Being physically and mentally fit for the safari
• Respecting wildlife and cultural traditions
• Following environmental protection guidelines
• Maintaining respectful behavior with staff and other travelers
9. Use of Images and Media
Unless explicitly declined, you consent to the Company using photos or videos taken during your safari for promotional and marketing purposes.
10. Complaints and Disputes
10.1 Complaints must be reported to the Company or guide immediately during the trip to allow timely resolution.
10.2 If unresolved, written complaints must be submitted within 7 days after tour completion.
10.3 This Agreement is governed by the laws of [Country—e.g., Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania], and any dispute will be handled in its courts.
11. Privacy Policy
Personal information you provide will be used only for booking, permits, communication, and customer service. We maintain strict confidentiality and do not sell or share client data with third parties, except as required for travel processing.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By booking with Camuka Uganda Safaris, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions, including any updates made prior to travel.

These Terms & Conditions outline the important information you need to know when booking your trip with us. Please read them carefully to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
1. Who We Are
Camuka Uganda Safaris specializes in Uganda safari tours, including Gorilla trekking in Uganda, wildlife adventures, family safaris, birding, cultural encounters, and tailor-made journeys across East Africa. Our team is passionate, experienced, and fully dedicated to exceeding your expectations.
2. Safari Guides & Language Support
Our guides are handpicked for their professionalism, knowledge, and hospitality. We offer safari experiences in the following languages:
• English (standard)
• Spanish
• German
• French
Other languages can be arranged upon request – simply let us know when booking, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.
3. Booking & Payment Terms
To confirm your safari:
• A 30% deposit is required at the time of booking.
• The remaining 70% is due at least 30 days before your safari start date.
• Bookings made within 30 days of travel require full payment upon confirmation.
Accepted Payment Methods
- Secure online bank transfer (our account details will be shared on request)
- Cash on arrival in Uganda (USD only; crisp bills preferred)
Your safari is officially confirmed once we issue your booking confirmation and payment receipt.
4. Flexible Refund & Cancellation Policy
We know that travel plans can change. That’s why we offer one of the most flexible and client- friendly cancellation policies in the industry:

31 – 89 days before safari 90% refund
15 – 30 days before safari 70% refund
Less than 14 days before safari 50% refund
No-show on safari start date No refund
Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking permits are non-refundable, as they are issued by the Uganda Wildlife Authority and cannot be transferred.
If we are required to cancel your safari due to force majeure (such as natural disasters, travel bans, or national emergencies), you will be offered:
• A full travel credit valid for up to 18 months, or
• The option to reschedule your safari at no extra charge
5. Insurance & Safari Activity Safety
We prioritize your safety and peace of mind.
Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers:
• Trip cancellations or interruptions
• Emergency medical assistance
• International travel delays
• Lost or delayed luggage
Activities within the safari itinerary (e.g., trekking, game drives, boat cruises) are operated safely and professionally by our trained team and are covered by our internal risk management and liability protections.
6. Health, Medical & Special Requirements
Your comfort and well-being are important to us.
• Please inform us at booking of any health conditions, mobility challenges, or dietary requirements.
• We recommend visiting a travel clinic for advice on vaccinations such as yellow fever and malaria prevention.
• Guests participating in trekking experiences must be reasonably fit and aged 15 years or older for gorilla treks.
In case of a medical emergency during the safari, our team will coordinate immediate support and evacuation services as needed.
7. Changes to Itineraries
We aim to deliver every safari exactly as planned. However, occasionally adjustments are necessary due to unforeseen conditions such as road closures, weather, or accommodation availability.
• We will always inform you in advance and provide a suitable alternative of equal or greater value.
• Your comfort and experience are always our top priority.
8. Photography & Promotional Use
From time to time, our team may capture photographs or video during your safari to share the beauty of Uganda and our experiences.
If you do not wish to appear in any promotional materials, kindly inform your guide or contact us in advance. We will always respect your privacy.
9. Liability Disclaimer
While we go above and beyond to ensure your safety and satisfaction, Cymo African Safaris is not liable for:
• Loss or damage to personal property
• Delays or service interruptions caused by third parties (e.g., airlines)
• Personal injury, illness, or accidents beyond our control
• Force majeure events such as weather disruptions, political unrest, or natural disasters
We maintain the highest standards of professionalism and client care at all times.
10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes shall be handled within Ugandan legal jurisdiction.
